Please note that the start and end times for this walk have changed due to this week's heat wave.

Mt. Diablo’s Mitchell Canyon is one of the great nature walks in the Bay Area. Butterflies patrol the creek, delicate flowers such as Elegant Clarkia adorn the trailsides, and reptiles scamper about. We’ll hike up the easy canyon trail, have some lunch and return, observing and learning about the plants and animals of this special place.

Cost: Free! $20 suggested donation. There is a $6 parking fee. Ages 13 and up. No dogs, please.
